As of January 2024, our rates will be increasing for all therapist services. All existing and new clients who do not have a geared-to-income agreement with the clinic will be charged these new rates, and a detailed email will have been received by all current clients outlining the changes.
With the exception of Julie, all of our therapists are Registered Social Workers and are not required to charge HST. Julie's fees listed below all include HST and are all 60 minute sessions with the exception of SSP. Other therapist fees listed below are tax exempt and are all 60 minute sessions:
Julie's Fees: Individual (adult or child not participating in play therapy) = $160 Family (adult and one other family member) = $180 *Jule does NOT see couples* Play Therapy = $180 Safe & Sound Protocol (SSP) = $140 (at home session rate) *SSP Session rates are variable depending on your treatment plan and will be discussed at your first session. Sessions in the clinic may be longer or shorter and may vary in price. *Play Therapy costs include supplies*
Ashley, Guia, Nancy & Reid Fees: Individual = $160 Family = $180 Couples = See "couples" section for more information
Shannon Fees: Individual = $120
Why is the price different for your MSW vs RP therapists? Please visit this page to learn more about the current struggles in Ontario in regards to our profession and how it is affecting our clinic and the fees you are paying.
These fees includes time spent preparing your unique treatment plan, as well as documentation after the session together and preparation of homework for subsequent weeks of therapy. It also includes any time spent outside of the session (for example - if you need to reach out to us for support in between sessions) *Medical notes are $30 if created outside of session time. It is important to think of counselling/therapy as an investment in your mental health and/or your child's mental health, the same as you would invest in any personal self care or physical rehabilitation.
What if I cannot afford counselling? The goal is for everyone to afford counselling services. We are proud to offer "sliding-scale" (geared-to-income) fees for those who are unemployed or for those whose income may qualify. If you think you might qualify for a reduced rate, please reach out to us on the "contact" page and explain your circumstances. If you have benefits through work, you are not eligible for sliding scale services until those benefits run out, at which time we can assess your situation. What options are available for payment? We require that you add a credit card to your file prior to booking as we do not take card payments inside the office. If you are booking online you will have to provide a credit card, but you do NOT have to pay this way for subsequent sessions. Payment via e-transfer is an option once you are an established client, but must be received on the SAME DAY as the session. We do not accept cash or cheques for any reason. For any further questions, please email us directly.
