Now that winter is here, we will likely start getting some cancellations or attempted cancellations due to the weather. Our 48-hour policy stays intact with the exception of road closures or poor driving conditions. If you are from out of town (more than 15 minutes) and there is a road closure or if you do not feel safe driving due to current conditions, we will not charge for same day cancellations and we will offer you a virtual or a phone session instead. If you choose not to have a virtual or phone session, your appointment will be cancelled without issue. Please do your best to contact us by 9am to cancel and to let us know if you are choosing a virtual or phone session.
Alternatively, if you live in Port Elgin or Southampton (If you're attending the Port Elgin clinic) or Kincardine or Tiverton (if you're attending the Kincardine clinic) and you don't want to drive to the clinic because of weather (extreme weather excluded), we will offer you a virtual or phone session as well, but if you decline one of these options, you will be charged full price. Our reason for this is some of our therapists travel from far out of town (some as far as an hour), and if they can make it in safely, we feel it is only fair for their time to be compensated if you choose not to drive the short distance to the clinic.
Also, keep in mind this time of year it's very difficult to reschedule due to increase bookings around the holidays, so accepting virtual or phone sessions in lieu of cancelling is highly recommended if you want to ensure to maintain your current treatment schedule. *This cancellation policy is part of your intake form and it is also attached to all booking emails*
